SQUABBL Privacy Policy

Effective 12 July 2026·Developer: HEHKU (SlayerBlade)

At a glance

  • SQUABBL creates an anonymous account for online play — no email, no phone number, no real name.
  • Your display name is chosen by you and is visible to other players online.
  • Online match results and trophies are stored on our servers to run leaderboards.
  • Optional rewarded ads are served by Google AdMob; you choose to watch them.
  • Couch and Wi-Fi play work fully offline — nothing leaves your device.
  • You can report and block any player name from inside the game.

The short version

SQUABBL is a free physics brawler you can play on the couch, over Wi-Fi, or online. Couch and Wi-Fi play need no account and send nothing off your device. Online play uses an anonymous account we create automatically — we never ask for your email, phone number, or real name. The game shows optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob: you choose to watch them in exchange for in-game rewards, and they are never forced.

Your anonymous account and display name

When you first go online, SQUABBL creates an anonymous account identified by a random ID tied to your installation. You can pick a display name (or keep the generated one). That name is visible to other players in online rooms, on the leaderboard, and in friend lists. Names pass a server-side filter, and every player can report or block a name from inside the game — a blocked name is hidden on that player's device, and reports come to us for review.

The account stores: your display name, a friend code, trophies, XP, win/match counts, daily-streak state, and your recent online match results (room code, scores, duration). We use this to run matchmaking rewards, leaderboards, friends, and daily bonuses — nothing else. Deleting the app abandons the anonymous account; if you want its data removed from our servers, contact us with your friend code and we will delete it.

Advertising, and the data it uses

SQUABBL uses the Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads) SDK to show rewarded video ads. As our advertising partner, Google may collect and process the following to serve, cap and measure those ads, and to prevent fraud and abuse: a device advertising identifier (such as the Android Advertising ID), approximate location derived from your IP address, general device and app information, and data about your interaction with ads (for example that an ad was shown or completed).

You can read how Google collects and uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation in your device's settings (Settings → Google → Ads on Android). Ad content shown in SQUABBL is limited to a maximum of a teen-appropriate rating.

Your choices and consent

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, SQUABBL shows you a consent choice — using Google's User Messaging Platform — before any personalised advertising, as required by law, and your choice is respected. Wherever you are, you can open Settings → Privacy options inside the game to review or change your consent where it applies.

Gameplay analytics

To understand which modes and features players enjoy, SQUABBL may send basic gameplay telemetry (such as matches started and finished, mode played, and rewarded-ad engagement) to GameAnalytics, identified by a random per-install ID — never by your name or any real-world identity. This helps us balance the game and decide what to build next. It is not used for advertising.

Sharing

Ad-related data is processed by Google as our advertising partner and may be shared with Google's ad-serving and measurement partners for those purposes. Online-play data lives with our backend provider (Supabase) and our relay host (Cloudflare), acting as processors on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for reasons unrelated to running the game.

Local play and game saves

Couch and Wi-Fi matches run entirely on your devices. Your settings, unlocked hats, and selected cosmetics are stored only on your device. If you delete the app, those local saves are deleted along with it.

Children

SQUABBL is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Because the game shows advertising that relies on a device advertising identifier and offers online interaction with other players, it is not designed or offered as a child-directed ("Made for Kids") app, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the app; if you believe a child has provided data through it, contact us and we will address it.

Changes to this policy

If SQUABBL changes in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page before that version ships and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
